DWT Startup Law Blog WeWorkMoz

What is runway2steet? We are a curated luxury marketplace for niche fashion brands from around the world. We’re like a curated Etsy for luxury women’s fashion. What’s your traction been like thus far? We just launched runway2street to the public last month after 3 months of beta. We started with 6 brands and grown very quickly to 2 dozen brands from 10 countries with several more in our pipeline.

On consumer front, we have seen great MOM user growth and traction since we launched as well. What do you know now that you wish you would have known when you started runway2street? I wish someone had told me the crazy ups and downs of startup life happens multiple times the same day! 🙂 What’s a hypothesis that you’ve had that has failed? And how did you respond? We initially thought that our ideal audience would be women in their 30’s and 40’s (and they still are the majority) but we found that the fashion we carry and curate appeals to women in their 20’s and 50’s as well. What’s your favorite startup in Seattle? (Besides your own!) I really liked decide.com and their mission. Will be interesting to see how they are integrated within eBay… What’s your favorite thing about being an entrepreneur? I love that you get to work on anything and everything — I have learned more in the last year than several years at larger companies.
It is also amazing to work on something you love and are passionate about. What’s your favorite local sports team? Seahawks If you were to take Runway2street on a date, where would it want to go? It would a private trunk show with our designers where there’s great food, drinks, stories and we get to see/try on all the products.
