What is Connect2classes?
Connect2Classes™ (“C2C”) is an online community for listing continuing education and professional development classes, conferences, lectures, seminars, etc. C2C will make it easy for Education Providers to list their classes as well as enable them to market, offer promotions, advertise and gather analytics. The NA Continuing Education market is estimated at over $80B annually with roughly 45% of adults taking at least 1 course per year.
What’s your traction been like thus far?
We just recently launched our site and we have about 100 providers and 3000 classes listed for Seattle. We are rapidly adding more providers and will have our official user launch in early August!
What do you know now that you wish you would have known when you started Connect2classes?
How hard it is to do everything that needs to get done!
What’s a hypothesis that you’ve had that has failed? And how did you respond?
We believed that we could charge education providers a fee to list classes but many are saying that they would rather pay for performance through referrals (leads) or delivery of registered students.
What’s your favorite startup in Seattle? (Besides your own!)
I don’t know if I have a favorite start-up, but recently became aware of Artifact Technologies and am certainly enamored with their product. I love the fact that they use technology to enhance a real world experience, rather than replace one.
What’s your favorite thing about being an entrepreneur?
Business moves fast and every day there is a new problem or opportunity to tackle. I think of it like being a kid in a sandbox: We’ve got some sand and some toys and it’s up to us how we put those things to work to build something amazing.
What’s your favorite local sports team?
Seattle Thunderbirds because I love Junior Hockey.
If your company were an animal, what would it be and why?
A Dolphin because they have long-lasting relationships and they communicate with each other and other pods!
If you were to take your company on a date, where would it want to go? Why?
My company would go to a cooking class. Cooking together is romantic and fun. Learning something new and creating something together is a great bonding experience.
